Introduction

Vadiza collects information about:

  1. Our prospects and customers

  2. Their Vadiza appliances, versions of software in use, upgrades and fixes applied, application areas of use, and operational/technical data

The primary reasons why Vadiza collects this information are:

  1. To facilitate technical support.

    When a customer calls for assistance and support, it is important for the Vadiza team and our partners to know what type of hardware and software is implemented at the customer’s location.

  2. To provide on-site support, if needed.

    If Vadiza needs to send a support technician to the customer’s location, it is helpful to know the hours of operation, security protocols and other operational elements that provide access to the Vadiza appliance and facilities.

  3. To ensure an on-going positive business relationship.

We, at Vadiza, want to be clear about:

  2. The ways in which you can protect your privacy, control the use of relevant information

  3. Modify or change your information if required.

Information we collect

We collect information to provide better appliances, software, training, professional services and community/events to all of our prospects and customers – from learning about and recording basic communication elements like which language you speak, to more complex things like which version of SAGE and Vadiza software you and your team have implemented.

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you give us.

    For example, our software and services may require you to provide contact information to Vadiza through on-line forms. When you do, we’ll ask for personal/work information, like your name, email address, telephone number and address.

  • Information we collect from you or through our sales/marketing efforts.

    We may collect information about the appliances, software, professional services and training that you and your team use and how you use them. Also, you may visit one of our websites, register for premium content and download that material. We may also have sales and marketing staff and agencies contact you with the express purpose of collecting information about your implementation of SAGE and the hardware associated with SAGE. This information includes:



    • Appliance & Site Information


      We may collect site and appliance-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique appliance identifiers, server type, number of screens, touch and 3D capabilities and network information). Vadiza may associate your these individual information elements and/or aggregate information with your Vadiza Account.

    • Log Information


      When you use our appliances, software and/or professional services or view content provided by Vadiza, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:

      • Details of how you interacted with our content, appliances or software, such as your search queries.

      • Telephony log information like your phone number, calling-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls.

      • Internet protocol address.

      • Device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.

      •  Cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your Vadiza Account.

    • Unique appliance numbers


      Each Vadiza appliance contains a unique appliance number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and SAGE & Vadiza version numbers) may be sent to Vadiza when you install or uninstall software or when the appliance periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.

    • Local Storage


      We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

    • Cookies and anonymous identifiers


      We use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit the Vadiza website, and this may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your local device.

How we use the information we collect

We use the information we collect from all of our appliances, software and services to provide, maintain, protect and improve Vadiza offerings, to develop new offerings, and to protect Vadiza and our users.

When you contact Vadiza, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.

We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our offerings.

As a customer or prospect of Vadiza, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes).

Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. Because of this, after you delete information from our systems, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.

    We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Vadiza when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.

    We provide personal information to our affiliates or other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers or connected operations. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our offerings.

If Vadiza is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Information security

We work hard to protect Vadiza and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:

Enforcement

We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

Changes

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent.
